Because it can be controlled from the Standard View or the Advanced View, beginners can use it, and experts can do some fairly advanced stuff. Great sounds and I think they nailed some of the genre-specific and historical type presets. (end obligatory "I'm obviously awesome, so you can trust me." rant)Īll of that being said, Nectar, thus far, is very, very good. (I switched when ProTools HD came out, because the HD hardware was outrageously expensive, and Logic included way more plug-ins and features.) I've got a little over 8.5 years of legit studio experience in more styles than I can remember.

I've used Logic Pro since v.7, and Pro-Tools LE & TDM before that. I'm not anybody famous, but I've done a ton of production (library) music, several independent artists, a few major label releases of people you've probably never heard of, and a lot of audio post for video. I prefer to experiment and use different plug-ins to replicate a good hardware chain. I am not really a fan of "do-it-all" type plug-ins. The rest of the modules are, again, surprisingly good. The only modules I haven't used so far are the Doubler and Delay.

Nectar 2 includes a lot of tools and makes it possible for its users to add a variety of effects to the audio tracks they work on.

Those who own a dedicated sound editing and recording solution are certainly aware of the fact that most software solutions of this kind can be extended with the help of some small additions.Īudio plugins are quite common for professionals and advanced users, but, even so, a collection like iZotope Nectar is bound to raise an eyebrow or two thanks to the powerful features it will provide.
